英语语篇主题句探析

本文从英语修辞 ,英民族的文化思维模式以及英语系统功能语法观的角度分析了英语主题句。最后强调 :英语主题句应该成为ESL学生尤其是以汉语为母语的英语学习者语段写作的指向标。

In this paper the issue of the topic sentence is analyzed from the viewpoints of the rhetoric,the cultural thought patterns and the functional sentence perspective.At last,we emphasize that the English topic sentence should become an arrow mark in paragraph writing,so far as the ESL students,esp.the Chinese learners, are concerned.
