摘要
本文通过分析大量实例，阐述了汉语学术期刊目录英译的基本原则，归纳了汉语标题的各种不同类型及其翻译技巧。文章还指出学术期刊目录英译中重视文化因素的必要性。
This paper, through studying a host of examples from popular Chinese academic magazines, elaborates on general principles of translating into English the titles of Chinese academic articles, and some basic techniques of translating titles of varied types. It also highlights the significance of cultural awareness in the translating process concerned.
