摘要
语言与思维的关系是引起广泛争议的一个话题。语言是否被移植到认知过程中 ,通过某种途径给思维贴上了交际的标签 ?或许学习一种语言意味着学会用这种语言去思维 ?许多学者对两者之间的关系作出论述。本文就这一论题及其涉及的学科和研究范围展开讨论 。
The relation between language and thought is a very much debated topic. Is language simply grafted on top of cognition as a way of sticking communicable labels onto thoughts or does learning a language somehow mean learning to think in that language? Many theorists made their contributions to the understanding of the relation. This paper presents an overview on the hypotheses and theories concerning the topic, encompassing such fields of study and research as linguistics, psychology, anthropology and cognitive science. The emphasis is laid on the hypotheses and theories that played an important role in the development of cognitive science.
