摘要
This paper discusses the debate between Marxists Jaques Didet, G.A. Cohen and new Liberalist John Rawls. By comparing the different opinions between these three persons, this paper tries to shows that the relationship between Bdiet and Rawls is that Bidet tries to bring together what is true in Marx and what is true in Rawls by transforming Rawls’ "different principle’ into "free deferent principle". The relationship between Cohen and Rawls is that Cohen challenged Rawls’ theory by disclosing the fact the less well off are brought about by social structure, therefore their position cannot be improved by "different principle. The relationship between Cohen and Bidet is that Cohen disagrees with Bidet’s opinion about contract as the basic principle for society and he points out the limitation of contractual equality.
