摘要
海明威的《老人与海》自始至终回荡着大海波涛般的韵律。它不仅表现在词汇、语音和句子结构层面上 ,还表现在小说的宏观结构组织层面上。本文试图以韩礼德系统功能语法和语篇体裁结构为理论基础 ,从小说的宏观结构组织层面入手 ,以静态和动态两种分析方式就此问题进行论证。同时结合小说内容探讨作者做出这种选择所要达到的目的。
The sea-wave like rhythm is not only shown in the respect of words, pronunciation and sentence patterns, but also in the macro-structure of Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. This paper is to deal with this problem within systemic functional framework. The research work is carried out at the level of the macro-structure of the text from the perspective of both synoptic approach and dynamic approach. The purpose of doing so is to dig up the hidden meaning the author wants to express in making such a choice.
