Textual Studies of Some Historical Facts Concerning the Semu People in the Yuan Dynasty

色目人对元代历史的发展起着至为重要的作用。本文在认真研读相关史籍的基础上 ,对色目人的一些历史史实作了考察和论述。全文分四部分。第一部分分析了忽思慧的族属问题 ,指出忽思慧其人不应是穆斯林。第二部分全面考察了元代畏兀儿农学家鲁明善的生平仕履。第三部分对元代于阗人非畏兀儿之说予以补证。第四部分对元人关于回纥信奉“佛教”的史料进行辨析 ,明确指出刘祁《北使记》

The Semu people had played a very important role for the development of the Yuan Dynasty's history. This article makes some textual studies and exposition about some historical facts concerning the Semu people based on reading the relevant historical records carefully.The article includes four parts. The first part analyses the question of Husihui's ethnic identity and points out that he was not a Moslem. The second part makes an all-round study of the Uigur agriculturist Lu Mingshan's life story and official career. The third part gives some supplementary verifications to support the statement that the people living in Yutian in the Yuan Dynasty were not Uigurs. The fourth part differentiates and analyses the historical records with regard to the Huihes (Ouigours) believing in “Buddhism”,and points out clearly that the description about the Ouigour State in Bei Shi Ji (Travels to Central Asia) is a true reflection of the Moslems' religious life at that time.
