摘要
本文通过对四种语境条件下及语言交际过程中 ,语境对语言各个层面及各种语言现象制约作用的概括论述 ,阐明了语境对语言制约的全面性、广泛性、普遍性 ;指出制约功能是语境的根本功能。
By giving a general descritption and discussion of the conditioning effect of context at various linguistic levels, this paper specifies context's comprehensiveness and universality in its conditioning effect on language. Conditioning is the fundamental function of context. Four basic manifestations of the conditioning function of context are discussed in the paper.
