摘要
The large-mouthed zun vase is an important pottery vessel type in the Dawenkou culture. Inquiry into its producing areas contributes greatly to the revelation of the cultural relationship among the relevant sites and to the clarification of the origin and spreading lines of this vessel. By using the ICP, petrography and Fisher analyses, the large-mouthed pottery zun vases of the Dawenkou culture unearthed from the Yuchisi site in Mengeheng of Anhui and from the Zhoujiazhuang and Dazhujiacun sites in Juxian county of Shandong have been preliminarily studied as to their producing areas and cultural source. The results show that the large-mouthed vases from Shandong Juxian are locally produced, while those from the Yuchisi site involve rather a vast region concerning their production, and some of them are similar to the specimens from Juxian, which suggests certain cultural linkage between the two areas.
