摘要
This thesis inquires into the spirit’s essence of Deng Xiaoping’s theory from following aspects: (1) As the new developmental stage of Marxism in China, its essence is the latest formation of the true actual philosophy in contemporary China. (2) In philosophical quality it is the practical materialism, therefore it possesses the specific spirit which displays the characteristics in its mental state, conscious character, thinking form and thought situation. (3) On the basis of its specific content, it is the scientific world outlook of our time, which consists of the dialectical-materialist standpoint of nature, especially the creative conception of history and development. (4) Its fundamental significance lies in providing the most general methods of knowing and changing the world, moreover actualizing itself through successfully using them.
