It is unlikely to avoid translating the biblical contents pervading many western literary works in the course of literary translation.Through the analysis of the errors occurred in the existing established Chinese versions,the paper points out that a translator,instead of copying the established Chinese versions without taking into account their source,form or style,to serve their contexts,must depend on himself when faced with the translation of biblical contents.
