A Close Study of Motivations in Language

语言理据是辨识或诠释语言符号意义的依据 ,它反映能指与所指 (形式与意义 )之间的各种联系 ,或者体现形式与形式之间的关系。理据说明意义从何而来、形式何以如此。语言理据可分为外部理据和内部理据两大类。语言的内部理据为语言历时发展的积淀 ,并不总是显而易见。

Motivations in language indicate various relationships between the signifier and the signified,or those among signifiers.They reveal the meaning of the forms of point to the connections among the forms.Motivations in language include external and internal ones.As the latter have built up from the gradual development of language and are not always obvious,to see them clearly sometimes needs a special knowledge of a language.
