There are many types of metaphor in Japanese. From the semantic point of view, it is actually a transformation from one kind of semantic category to another. The categories can be divided into macro categories and micro categories according to the differences in parts of speech and their meaning. The transformation of Japanese metaphors can be described from the micro and macro aspects.
