The author points out that the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea is one of the brilliant and wise decisions by the first generation collective leadership of the Communist Party with Chairman Mao Zedong at the core. The final victory in the war earned prestige for and enhanced the international reputation of China and the Army. The war provides an abundance of valuable enlightenment to China's national defense as it faces the 21st century.
