“四个服务”——新世纪统一战线的新任务

Four Services-New Mission of United Front in New Century

中国共产党为了完成自己在各个阶段的任务 ,都充分利用了统一战线这个重要法宝 ,相应地也对统一战线提出了基本要求。在进入21世纪前夕 ,党中央对统一战线提出了新的“四个服务” ,即 :为建设有中国特色社会主义的经济、政治、文化服务 ,为维护安定团结的政治局面服务 ,为实现祖国完全统一服务 ,为维护世界和平与促进共同发展服务。统一战线如能做好这“四个服务” ,则又将为自己增添辉煌色彩!

To accomplish its missions in different stages, the Communist Party has fully utilized the important weapon of the United Front, to which it has correspondingly raised basic requirements. On the eve of 21st century, the Central Party Committee put forward the new requirement of Four Services, i.e. to serve for building the socialist economy, politics and culture with Chinese characteristics, to serve for safeguarding the stable and united political situation, to serve for realizing full unity of China, and to serve for safeguarding world peace and promoting joint development. If the United Front could realize these 'four services', it will add more brilliance to itself.
