Fu Wai Hospital has fully exploited the statistical resources in the hospital and employed them as the valuable information which has been applied to serving the medical. teaching and researching practice and the management of hoshital. We realized from the above practice that collection of monthly statistical data is essential for exploitation and application of the statistical information. and the key point is to focus on the major indices. For example, the total numbers of operations, the average days of hospitalization of the operated patients, the classified statistics of the operation, and the statistical analysis of the complications after operation may deepen the exploitation and application of the statistical resources, and enhance the work benefits of the hospital.
