As a new seed processing technigue, the application of seed coating not only would bring farmers better economic and ecological benefit, but also promoted the industrialization standerlization and commercialization of seeds production. This paper introdued the process and research situation of seed coating technology detoillg. It briefed defferent types and ad- vanced methods of seed-coating and the effects applics to some crops both in domestic and abroad. It alse summarized new progress,developing trend, and the direction in future for seed coating technology. So it is more valuable to be studied and popularized in agricultural pro- duction.
