Virginia Woolf is a well-known woman writer in modern English literature. Judging by her works, she is regarded as an anti-traditional modernism novelist. The adopted diary reveals her thoughts on the death of Arnold Bennett, a representative of traditional writers. This paper analyzes the diary in order to study the writing ideology and techniques of Virginia Woolf.
