Theory and Practice on the Improvement of L2 Writing Ability

造成我国大学生英语写作水平普遍较低的原因是多方面的。本文考察了英语写作教学的各个环节 ,确立了合理的理论指导及具体的教学方法。研究发现 ,只要将阅读与写作相结合 ,教师加强写作过程的指导并改革作文评改方式 。

Many factors result in the low proficiency of university students' English writing.Therefore,the paper investigates various aspects of the teaching of English writing,from basic writing theories to teaching practice.Findings reveal that reading can serve as the basis of compositions substantial in content and that emphasis must be laid on the writing process.In writing activities,English teachers should be the guides of students' active learning,and the revised comments of teachers can stimulate learners' enthusiasm.The paper also discusses the means and ways of cultivating and raising the level of writing ability.
