箴言是企事业团体的宗旨 ,具有行文简洁 ,用词严谨 ,结构整齐等特点。箴言的翻译首先要理解原文的真意 ,即箴言用的出处及所含的文化背景 ,其次箴言译文的用词要反复推敲 。
Mottoes are short statements that express the aims or beliefs of a person,school,company,or institution,etc.Stylistically,they are formed with features of pithiness and accurateness in words,and neatness in structure.When translating a motto,one has,first of all,to understand its real meaning,including the cultural background.Then he has to weigh on words and structures so that they can best fit in with the Chinese patterns.
