五四新文化运动中,中国先进分子从“人权与科学”到“民主与科学”、进而从“走西洋式的道路”到“走俄国人的路”的文化选择,促进了马克思主义在中国的广泛传播,为中国共产党的诞生和成为中国先进文化前进方向的代表奠定了坚实的思想基础。

In the course of the New Cultural Movement in the May Fourth Times, the advanced Chinese elements made two cultural options in succession. One is from 'Human Rights and Science' to 'Democracy and Science' . The other is from 'Take the Western Way' to 'Take the Russian Way' . These cultural options represent the turn of the modern Chinese culture. They promote the wide spread of Marxism in China and thus lay the solid ideological foundation for the founding of the Chinese Communist Party and its representing of the orientation of the development of China's advanced culture.
