After an introduction of the developments in electronic ticket booking and vending system in other countries and a briefing on ticket vending and application of computer in this system in China, the author points out that the basic way put for the backward railway passenger services is to speed up the realization of electronic ticket booking and vending system. Several specific proposals are also made.
