台湾地区实行户籍法律制度。 1 992至 1 997年 ,人口出生率持续下降 ,人口死亡率缓缓上升。岛内党派纷争、政局动荡、社会治安状况恶化 ,是海外移民大幅度增长的主要原因之一。资料显示 ,台湾海外迁入人口呈逐年增长的趋势。台湾当局对大陆居民赴台居留设限严苛 ;对香港、澳门居民来台居留、定居设限较少。

There is a system of registered permanent residence in Taiwan Region.The amount of people going abroad is rising in high extent,because of the unquiet politics situation and exacerbating public order.It is showed from the materials that there is a trend that the amount of migrants is increasing from overseas.There more limit terms for the migrants from the Mainland and less from Hongkong and Macao.
