地方自治是政治学和宪法学研究的重要课题。孙中山先生在其革命生涯中始终高度重视地方自治，并提出了许多富有创见的规范和制度。他的这些思想不仅在当时产生了巨大影响，而且在今天仍具有借鉴作用。
Local autonomy is an important subject in the fields of constitutional law and politics. Ever through his life devoted to the democratic revolution, Mr. Su n Yat-sen put a great deal of emphasis on the establishment of local autonomy in Ch ina and brought forward many creative ideas, which not only had great influence in those days but also are helpful for now.
