摘要
本文集中讨论跟副词"还"有关的两个句式,说明其中的"还"具有"主观"和"元语"的性质,说话人用它表明自己对一个已知命题的态度,即认为这个命题提供的信息量不足,同时增补一个信息量充足的命题。理解"还"的这种功能有助于解释"还"和近似副词"更、又、也、再"在句法和语义上的异同。元语和非元语用法、主观和客观表达的区别在语言中具有普遍性。
This paper discusses in detail two sentence patterns with the additive adverb Hai in Man- darin Chinese, following Fillmore, Kay and O' Conner (1988) and Kay (1990)'s scalar model on even in English. The function of Hai is metalinguistic and subjective in the sense that it adds a more information proposition to an existing proposition that the speaker considers not informative enough in the context. Some syntactic and semantic differences between Hal and other additive adverbs like Geng, You, Ye, and Zai can thus be explained appropriately.
