On the Need of Unification of Maritime Transport Laws and the Challenge upon CMI & UNCITRAL

本文是国际海事委员会秘书长 ,瑞典的 A lexander von Ziegler博士就目前国际海上运输领域统一法律的必要性 ,以及 CMI、U NCITRAL(联合国贸易法委员会 )在统一法运动中承担的工作所作的报告。主要内容包括 ,对统一法律背景的回顾 ;CMI工作的组织 ;运输法工作组的研究领域 ;CMI目前工作项目及工作表。

This report is given by Dr. Alexander von Ziegler, Secretary General of the Committee International Maritime, Switzerland, on a need of unification of maritime transport and the CMI taking the lead in this regard to organize, together with UNCITRAL, and further work on the above mentioned issues of transport law. The content is including: background; organization of the work of CMI; areas for study by working group on issue of transport law; current status of the project and further time table.
