A Comparative Study on Mao Zedong's and Deng Xiaoping's Understandings Of Capitalism

如何看待资本主义,如何处理资本主义和社会主义的关系,是中国共产党领导中国革命中的重要问题。半个多世纪以来,毛泽东和邓小平在不同的历史条件下都对这个问题进行了思考和探索,取得了重要的理论和实践成果,也留下了深刻的教训。研究他们在这个问题上的异同,从中总结经验教训,更好地理解邓小平在新的历史时期的创新与发展,正确地运用资本主义所创造的文明成果为社会主义服务,是我们今天研究这一课题的根本目的。

How to look on capitalism, how to deal with the relation between capitalism and socialism, was an important issue in the revolution and construction led by the CCP. Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping thought and explored this question under the different historical conditions, and had gained important theoretical and practical achievements. This paper compared the similarities and differences between their understandings about capitalism and summarized the experiences and lessons. The author indicates that the intention of this study is to correctly apply the advanced achievements of capitalism to socialism.
