Hesiod is a poet of Greece in 8 B.C.His historical thoughts expressed in works Works and Days,and Theogony,have great significance to the western historiography.He is a first man who attributed the historical course to human historical practice and gave some new explanations of historical trend and impetus.He laid down the original basis of the western historiography.
