翻译不是创作而是复制作为复制的翻译中有变也有不变表层局部的变是迫不得已而为之普遍的深层不变与大部分的表层不变是译者追求的目标翻译标准的任何表述法都要反映这个目标还要没有任何反例按照这两个要求只有一元标准以信为代表才是正确的标准忠实性法则从属于连贯性法则从属于目的法则的目的论观点是站不住脚的

Translation is not creation, but reproduction. There is constancy as well as change in it as such. Change, which is on the surface and partial, is compelled, while universal deep constancy and constancy of most of the surface are the goal of the translator. Any statement of the criterion of translation must reflect this goal and must not have any counterexample. In the light of these two requirements, only monist criteria (represented by 'faithfulness') are correct. The skopos theory that 'the fidelity rule is subordinate to the coherence rule which is in turn subordinate to the skopos rule' does not hold water.
