In the English language and literature HAVE A VERB and TAKE A VERB are commonly used structures, which have been treated only as usage by traditional grammar. The research on linguistics shows that there do exist some deep semantic characteristics of the two structures. No doubt, a deep study of the characteristics will help to improve translation. This article deals with the potential rules of these structures from a linguistic perspective.
