摘要
夸克等人在其名著《英语语法大全》中提出的系统对应说是在乔姆斯基转换理论的基础上建立起来的 ,但又不采用其理论系统 ,而是使用可论证的对应说这种非正式的方法来说明结构之间的异同 ,从而使语法中众多不同结构有机地联系了起来。
The notion systematic correspondences advanced by R. Quirk et al in their masterpiece A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language is established on the basis of Chomsky's theory of transformations, but does not make use of its theoretical formulations. Instead, demonstrable correspondences as an informal way of showing similarities and contrasts are used in the book, and connect effectively a great number of different structures in grammar.
