Influence of Dun Huang Narrative and Story Text upon Historical Genre

研究者在讨论历史演义的起源时,一般认为是宋元的讲史话本给予它重要的影响,其实宋元话本只是过渡环节,源头应是敦煌变文和话本。历史题材的敦煌变文话本对后来历史演义的影响既是广泛的又是重要的,它的影响主要体现在启发叙述体式,确立基本质素,成为故事素材三个方面。

The researchers usually regard story texts on history of the Song & Yuan Dynasty as the origin of historical genre which developed from Dun Huang narrative prose and story in fact. The narrative in the Song & Yuan Dynasty played a transitional role in the development process. Dun Huang narrative proses were influential in the historical genre, which has enlightened the style of statement, has established the basic quality element and has boomed story theme.
