Many new technologies were adopted in 47500 dwt bulk carrier built by Hudong Shipyard, Shanghai, so a new record of building period was set up with only three months of building berth and quay berth period respectively.This paper introduces the building technology of the D.C type block including the block design, precision control, assembly method, the profit gained etc.
