Analysis of Therapeutic Effects of Acupuncture in Combination with Cupping on 383 Cases of Protrusion of Lumbar Intervertebral Disks

1 临床资料1.1 一般资料在383例患者中,男性300例,女性83例;年龄最小者21岁,最大者55岁;病程最短者为损伤即刻,最长者可达五年。其中腰椎右凸者40例,左凸者210例,椎缘增生341例;

We treated 383 cases of protrusion of lumbarvertebral disks by acupuncture in combination withcupping.Dachangshu(BL25),Baihuanshu(BL30),Chengshan(BL57)and Kunlun(BL60)were cho-sen for those with dislocation of L4 and L5 interver-tebral disks,and Qihai(CV 6),Cuanyuanshu(BL26),Sanyinjiao(SP6)and Shangliao(BL31).forL4-L5 or L5-S1 disk dislocation.A 26 gauge fill-form needle with the length of 4 inches was inser-ted obliquely towards the vertebral body until anelectrical shock-like sensation was felt along thelower limb by the patient.The needle was withdrawnafter 1-3 manipulations.Then cupping was perfor-med on these points and lasted for 15 minutes.Final-ly,the Iumhar portion was mobilized and relaxedby the patient himself to facilitate the therapeuticeffects.The treatment was applied ones everyday.Itwas shown that 251 cases were cured,119 obviouslyimproved,and 20 improved.
