The author described what Shanghai Ferroalloy Factory had achieved in slashing the electric power consumption through joint-management of enterprises, rationalizing product planning, utilizing new techneques and facilities and strengthening energy-saving management practices, which enabled the factory to fulfil its production targets and to have become one of the 'National First-class Energy-saving Enterprise'.
