In this paper, the position and function of strain measurement technigues in economic construction, the detection elements combining microcomputer systems and the strain measurement techniques in bad enviroments are described. The function of strain measuement techniques in some new branches of science are also illustrated. In the meantime, the prospect of the strain measurement techniques is mentioned.
