This Paper Presents an overview of the major aspects of the missile (including aircraft) impact problems in nuclear power engineering. The emphasis is laid on the main topics, local rupture effects, impact pressure time history, response of elastic and elasto—plastic systems and the simple introduction for the behavior of reinfoced concrete shells subjected to impact.
