An Overview on the Research on Treating Mental Retardation with Acupuncture

智能低下(Mental Retardation,以下简称 MR)是儿童神经精神系统的常见症状之一。一般指小儿生长发育期间智能明显落后于同龄组儿童的平均水平,且智能发育始终不能成熟。

The therapies including body dcupuncture,scalpacupuncture,auriculoacupuncture,point injections,treatments inducing balance of meridians,and combining methods in treating mental retardation(MR)were reviewed in the present paper.Compared withother theraples,in treating MR acupancture ex(?)tedsuch advantages as better curative effects,sherttreatment courses,no side effect,being acceptableto patients and less cost.
