摘要
本文提出以误字率作为表征数据可用性指标,讨论冗余磁盘阵列(RAID——Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks)的系统可靠性。分析、计算、比较表明RAID的数据可用性随着容量冗余度的增加而提高。以一定的冗余度和合适的误码出错控制方式可使系统可靠达到实用要求。
This paper has proposed the word error rate as the index representing the data availability and discussed the reliability of RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks). We have shown that the data availability of RAID could be raised along with the in-creasement of the capacity redundancy and that RAID could come into real use widely as long as the word error rate is reduced by using a good error correcting scheme.
