摘要
本文综合论述了数据库管理系统(DBMS)的发展,着重阐述了未来第五代数据库管理系统的结构和功能,并较详细地分析了一个第五代数据库管理系统的雏形—PROBE的设计思想和研究方法。
In this paper, the history of DBMS and the architecture and function of the 5th DBMS is introduced. The PROBE system-a prototype of the 5th DBMS-is analysed and discussed.
