This paper stresses on the application and technical requirements of thin sheet glass in opto electronic industry. The glass composition system,the various forming metjods of thin sheet glass and their comparasion are described.It also introduces the recent development of thin sheet glass production in the world and gives a brief decription of present domestic situation and some ideas for development of the thin sheet glass production in our country.
