The author systematically studied the relationship between the electric insulating properties and the chemical composition as well as the enamelling technology.The results show that substitution of alkaline earth metal oxides for alkali and PbO,Bi_2O_3,V_2O_5 for SiO_2,Al_2O_3 will increase the electric insulation and resistance to high voltage and improre the enamelling technology properties, substitution of the complex suspension agents for the clay will enhance the structual density of the enamel and improve the rheologie properties of enamel slips.The excellent electric insulating enamel can be obtained by proper melting,application and firing.
