This paper describes how to develop a CAD system which can be used to design the shapes of enamel products. Designers can work freely and more efficiently by using this system. In this system, the shapes of revolved body and the patterns on product surface can be designed independently. Designers can design any shape and pattern as they like and map the pattern on any part of the revolved surface. Finally,a highly realistic picture of product ’s appetence appears on the screen. Product ’s real shape and the aesthetic feeling can be appreciated even on initial designing stage, so as to do further modification.
