This article describes a new kind of liquid level monitor for pumping wells.The monitor, based on a portable personal computer, can automatically monitorthe annulus liquid level changes at well head, and then calculate the bottom holepressure. The measured results, and the pressure build-up curve can be displayedwhenever they are needed. The monitor can work for seven consecutive days' Themeasured results are highly reliable.
