he adsorption kinetics of 2.6-lutidine on Brdnsted and Lewis acid sites of Y zeolite was studied by an infrared-weight method. The results show that there are two kinds of Bronsted acid sites on Y zeolite surface, one is stronger than the another, they obey langmuir rate equation for the adsorption of 2,6-lutidine,at 295 K their rate constants of adsorption are 1.93×10-5mmol g-1 s-l Pa-1 and 1.49×10-5 mmol g-1 s-l Pa-1 respectively.In the case of Lewis acid sites, it is shown that the adsorption of 2,6-lutldine is nonlocalized and the rate equation is da/dt=kθ.
