This paper simply states the basis, purpose and condition in analysing principal dimensions for dry -cargo ships with emphasis on discussion of weight estimation establishment of mathematical model and the method of outside - point - fine - function for analysing principal dimensions. An example for excellent analysis of a 5000DWT dry -cargo ship is also given in the paper.
