The object of this paper is to propose a numerical methd for solving a kind of the freeboundary problems of elliptic equation , in which the original problem is changed into a fixedboundary problem of a system of quasilinear elliptic equations, which includes two equations andis defined on a rectangular domain. It is easy to be discretized with difference method and to besolved with iterative method for the latter.The numerical method can be used to solve a numberof practical problems. The numerical examples show that this method is very effective.
