A diamond powder is produced by shock compressing a mixture of graphite and copperpowders via explosive detonation. The conversion ratio from graphite to diamond can reach 27%by raising the synthesis temperature,and the X-ray diffraction pattern of synthetic diamondshows its grains are very fine,between 2-4nm.
