The prefasting principle and axial stiffness of radial-thrust ball bearing are analyzed in this article. By analyzing and measuring the protuberance of single ball bearing,a simple and practical method which can correctly control the preloads within a certain accuracy range is presented for ball bearings of the gimbal platform.
