This Paper describes a system, both hardware and software, that provides computer treatment and quantity analysis of two-dimensional electropherogram of proteins. Image-analysis techniques are used to determine spot intensities and match spot patterns among many gels. Computer treatment methods are used to extract the useful informations contain in the spots. This technique may be used for many studies of biophysics and biochemistry.
