ats were used to establish a model
of cerebral ischemia and the changes of monoamines(5─HT,5─HI─AA)and endogenous
opiate peptides(LEK,β─EP,DynA1─13)levels in the cerebral tissue were measured. The main
findings were as follows: The level of LEK reduced slightly, but the β─EP and the DynA1─13
levelsincreased significantly in cerebral ischemia for 60 minutes. At the same time the Level of
5─HT was de─creased and of the 5─HIAA was increased. The results suggest that both the
endogenous opiate peptidesand monoamines play a possible role in the development of
cerebral ischemic damage.
